Debrecen Braised Meat Debrecen Braised Meat

Ingredients
500 g / 18 oz
100 g / 3,5 oz
1
pair

1 tea spoon

beef
smoked bacon
Debrecen sausages
small onion
spicy paprika
tomatoes
green paprikas
 
Preparation

Cut the meat in cubes, fry the bacon in it's own grease, add the fine cut onions for stewing. Add the meat and salt, keep on stirring up. Spice with paprika and cover all with water; braise it on little heat. When the meat is half-ready warm up the sausages for about 10 minutes, then cut them and fry them shortly in a second casserole in a little grease. When the braised meat is soft reduce the juice and add the sausages and the sliced tomatoes and paprikas, braise a few further minutes.
 
Serving

You can decorate the braised meat with thin cut tomato and paprika slices and serve with potatoes or pasta.
