Balneology Science of healing water, bath customer Healing water Before a water may be called healing water the effect must be proven medically. Regularly double of blind experiments are implemented, in order to test the effectiveness surely. The title healing water is given in Hungary by the National Department of Health. Hydrotherapy With hydrotherapy water is used according to the knowledge of the water medicine for healing. The expression describes all methods with those the physical characteristics of the water, for example lift, current or temperature are used. Indication and contraindication Indications are all those diseases or health circumstances, for whose treatment the application of certain cures, medicines or methods are medically advised. Contraindication are however all diseases or health circumstances, with which application of certain cures, medicines or methods weaken the health or would endanger and therefore are medically not justifiable. 
With the baths this information is hidden behind the following pictogram: Cure A cure is nothing one but an adjusted therapy in a cure or a health resort. In practice individually to the patient co-ordinated natural cures are applied here and supplemented so far necessarily by other treatments. Mechanotherapy In the mechanotherapy the welfare effect of certain mechanical energies is used, as with the welfare gymnastics or massages. Mineral water Mineral water is a water, in which per litre more than 1000 mg loosened natural mineral materials are contained, is called natural without mineral materials by humans is added. It is relevant that determined biologically active substances in it are contained. (REFERENCE: with mineral water as beverage the solved quantity of mineral materials in the course of the harmonisation to the procedures of the European union was reduced to 500 mg/l, that has however no influence on the classification for healing certain water.) Physicotherapy Physicotherapy (not to confound with physiotherapy!) are welfare methods, with which physical energies are used for the healing. Examples are electrical therapy, ultrasonic and light therapy. Physiotherapy to it belong to whole of the natural welfare methods:
(medically:) health re-establishment of patients, who lost their physical and or mental efficiency by disease or accident. The degree of the re-establishment depends on the medical history of the patient. Convalescence Convalescence is the phase of the re-establishment after a disease be attained into therapeutic possibilities applied around a most extensive reorganisation. Recreation Recreation has to do only indirectly with the medical treatment. Recreation is the recovery, which benefits the positive basic attitude of the patient. The possibilities of the relaxation and recovery available in Hungary cannot be specified here, for this are inserted the tourist chapters. Thermal water One may call water according to Hungarian law thermal water, if it is warmed up by terrestrial heat on a temperature of more than 30°C/86 F. |
